News and Notes: July 2010

Message from The Director

Wow. It's July again...the years just keep moving by faster and faster, don't they? This is always an exciting time for us. In addition to being busy with performances, classes, and summer camps, we are getting ready to start our new fiscal year. July is when we review everything we have accomplished over the past year and look ahead to where we want to be by next June. I don't have the space to include all of the wonderful things that have happened in the last 12 months... (For the rest of Manal's message click here!)

Music Therapy in the News

Music: The Language of Well-Being

Note-Worthy: Teen Camp Week One

Fifteen teens participated in our first music camp session of the summer. The group got to know each other well, making lasting friendships with their fellow campers as they enjoyed fun activities such as making a music video and recording a CD. They also learned about a variety of different instruments and types of music as guest teachers joined us each day.
